THE STORY BEHIND FORTUNA PARK
A family-run rural property where practical dog care, natural ability, thoughtful breeding and a love of growing things all belong together.

HOW IT ALL FITS TOGETHER
Fortuna Park grew from the things our family already loved and lived: dogs, learning, showing, sport, animal care, the outdoors and unusual plants. Over time, our rural property became the place where those interests could be brought together properly.
Today, Fortuna Park combines boutique dog boarding, training and dog sports, Ffortuna Cairn Terriers, specialist venue hire, puppy development experiences and a growing collector plant nursery.
Each part is deliberately small enough to remain personal. The goal is not to rush dogs, people or plants through a system — it is to notice what is in front of us and give it the conditions to do well.
Guests, training dogs, puppy families and visitors are known as individuals.
Decisions are grounded in real animal care, real behaviour and everyday life.
Every space and activity should offer a genuine benefit, not simply look impressive.
The property continues to develop alongside the dogs, plants and people who use it.
AROUND THE PROPERTY
Set across five acres in Nambeelup, Fortuna Park has room for secure training areas, quiet exercise paddocks, kennels, livestock, the nursery and the wild little corners that make the property feel alive.
The dam, native orchids, frogs, birds, insects and changing seasons are part of daily life here. So are the sheep, goats, geese, ducks, chickens, dogs and children. It is a working family property — peaceful, interesting and never completely still.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PLACE
Fortuna Park is part of family life, and family life is woven through the property. Lauren, her mum Fay and the children are the three generations who make this place feel like home.

MUM & GRANDMA
Fay is our resident horticulturalist and a Registered Nurse who spent much of her career working in emergency departments. She is the family superwoman, always ready to help, keep things moving and bring calm experience to a busy day. She tempers Lauren's more ambitious ideas with practical wisdom, then usually helps make them happen anyway.
THE NEXT GENERATION
The children are part of everyday life here, growing up alongside the dogs, livestock, gardens, nursery and native wildlife that make Fortuna Park what it is.
FAMILY RUN
Across three generations, Fortuna Park is shaped by shared care, curiosity and a genuine love of animals, plants and country life.

MEET LAUREN FERGUSON
Lauren's work with dogs spans health, welfare, training, grooming, breeding, competition and judging. That combination matters: it means the whole dog is considered, rather than treating behaviour, physical comfort and daily care as separate things.
She is a Veterinary Nurse, NDTF-qualified dog trainer, dog groomer and Dogs Australia registered breeder. Her involvement in dog sport and judging brings another layer of practical knowledge to training and Ffortuna's breeding program.
Grooming is part of Lauren's professional experience rather than a primary Fortuna Park service. New grooming clients are accepted occasionally when time and availability allow.
